Escape Beach Resort - New Look Renovated

Wifi great. Bedroom lovely. Like the style. Very clean. Breakfast good. Pool lovely.

Comfortable bed. Nice pool. Great location if you like being on the beach and away from the main town. Some of the reviews on here made it sound like it was down some little country road surrounded by forest, it isn't. It's down a track/road with restaurants and hotels. I rented a scooter for my whole stay (which was old and overpriced but reliable). I immediately had major issues with the WiFi but the manager got an IT guy who came and installed a router outside my room (this was after she went on about slow connection because of the mountains which was clearly spurious). 80mb/sec. This was amazing service. I stayed for 9 days which was very long in the rainy season. I like others did not realise that this time of year is midwinter. Very heavy rain most days and very little sun. Anyway the weather is no fault of the staff. The cleaners were lovely and for heaven sakes don't pay for them to sort any laundry. They charge 20 baht / item which when you consider the laundry 3.mins walk away will do 1kg for 40 baht it's a total rip off. If this was a premium establishment I'd understand but it's right in the lower middle end. One last thing. Don't for heaven sakes buy from their shop. They price 1 beer double that of the shop price. This I could understand if it was a remote island or the top of a huge mountain, it isn't. It's 1km from the local minimart where the same. Item is half. Very disappointed in people trying to take advantage.

The pool and the views of the sea. Breakfast had a good selection. Staff were wonderful and always helpful. Bungalows were lovely and modern, just a little bit on the small side. Lovely bathroom. Comfortable large bed.

If you really want to escape and do not much, this is the place to be. We just spent 10 days as a family here ( 9,14) reading and totally relaxing. We all loved it! The kids loved the choice of a pool or the ocean. We loved the amazing Thai food here as well as delicious western dishes. My kids loved the spaghetti. There are swings along the beach, SUPS, and Kayaks. If you need more action, Bo phut is just a walk or a short taxi ride away. Highly recommend!
